The Internally Displaced Peoples in Debre birhan town are contented for the Cash for rent support

Development for peace Organization with SWAN (Save the Children, World Vision, Action against Hunger, Norwegian Refugee Council) and EHF provided Cash for rent support for 400 households in Amhara regional state Debre birhan town.

Shambe Abebe, is among the beneficiaries. He and his family used to share a shelter with other people in the town.

Now, the provision of a Cash for rental scheme by the Development for Peace Organization/DPO/ makes him contented.

He said that the support allows them to have access for an independent latrine and water service.

Tiruye Asmanew is also another beneficiary of the scheme. She said that cash for rent Assistants is by far significant for women in ensuring privacy.

DPO project officer Mr. Tebeibu Solomon said the cash for rent assistance would allow them to stay in a better accommodation for six months.

Furthermore, it curbs the many problems they have been encountering while living in congested sites Mr. Tibebu explained.
