The Afar regional state insisted on DPO to step up its projects in the Region

In a project closing ceremony that took place at Gewane wereda, government officials lauded the multi undertakings of DPO for the community.

They underlined that DPO has been undertaking exemplary activities in a manner of being transparent.

 On the occasion, our organization obtained a certificate of appreciation from Gewane Woreda Administration Office.  

Since November 30, 2021 to July 31st of 2022, DPO has been implemented a project entitle “Emergency Multi sectorial integrated response to Displaced and Returnees households”  in Gewane Wereda.

Activities such as; trainings on GBV, Child Protection, community mobilization, community dialogue and case managements and OVC supports among others were part of the implementation.

This project has demonstrated the importance of collaboration with concerned stakeholders, Maximizing women’s Participation throughout various undertakings and Adapting knowledge to a local context.
