Humanitarian Response Effort with Partners Continued

DPO in partnership with IOM/RRF and USAID provided support to 3000 HHs in conflict-affected areas of Tigray region. In the RRF funded project, a total of 15,688 members of IDP and conflict-affected host communities in Shiraro town received coordinated household items in the NFI kit distribution. The material support included NFIs of kitchen and sleeping sets aimed at improving the community’s living situation and helping them recover from the hardships they have been through. Among the beneficiaries were people with disabilities, female and child-headed households, and elderlies struggling for their lives.

So far DPO has been working so hard with IOM/RRF and USAID reaching for conflict affected communities in Northern Ethiopia since the outbreak of the conflict in late 2020. The current project was put in place in late December last year.
