1000 girls and women IDPs received dignity kits

DPO distributed dignity kit items to girls and women in Mekele zone of Tigray region from a project funded by Flora Family Foundation. The project entitled “Dignity kit support to women IDPs of Mekelle zone’ aimed at providing dignity kits to women and girls of reproductive age groups displaced from different areas of Tigray region following the conflict in Northern Ethiopia.   

The dignity kit included hygiene and sanitation items such as, women sanitary pads, under wears and variety of soaps. The women and girls appreciated the help they received as significant need for their health and safety under the challenging circumstance they are in. Similarly, the head of Bureau of Social Empowerment and Gender Equality of Tigray forwarded her gratitude to DPO and the Flora Family Foundation for the generous support.
