In a project launched back in February/March, DPO repaired and renovated 733 shelters currently hosting conflict affected IDPs from different areas of the Tigray region. The shelter assistance project funded by USAID through IOM/RRF aimed at improving the living condition of IDPs at the Sebacare site and build their resilience to the approaching rainy season.
From the total 733 HHs receiving the shelter repair assistance, 125 identified are female headed and another 25 child-headed HHs; A total of 3900 people received the shelter assistance to able to prevent themselves from the dire effect of a rainy season to come.
Similarly, DPO is due to launch a shelter repair project at Eastern zone of Tigray, Tsire-wumberta woreda this month. In the USAID and CERF funded project DPO partnered with IOM/RRF to assist 200 most vulnerable households in the area.
