NFI support to IDPs at Jarra

1000 HHs at Jara IDP site, North Wollo zone received lifesaving NFI assistance in a project DPO and IOM/RRF partnered for implementation.

The project supports conflict affected IDPs camped at Jara site. Among the beneficiaries, women and elderlies without help and child-headed are the prime targets of the project.

The NFI kit included household materials for cooking, hygiene and sleeping intended to improve their living conditions. The IDPs at the site appreciated the help provided indicating that it has been long since they received such a complete set of NFI assistance.

The NFI assistance will be complemented with rehabilitation 200 shelter units identified for repair needs; IOM/RRF provided the shelter repair items.

The project fund is obtained from the Government of Japan through IOM/RRF.
