Humanitarian Assistance by DPO – South Sudan to Returnees at Rotriak

DPO – South Sudan along with Concern Worldwide and ADA is distributing SNFI assistance to returnees arriving in Rotriak, Unity State. The returnees are arriving from Sudan due to the ongoing armed conflict and currently residing in plastic shelters. IOM assisted the returnees travel from the border to Rotriak.

The current assistance by the three organizations reached for 700 HHs. DPO covered distribution of SNFIs to 250 HHs. The SNFI materials are obtained from the Shelter cluster Common Pipeline and DPO and the two partners coordinated with the logistics cluster.

The new arriving refugees seek lifesaving emergency assistance in multiple sectors like health, WASH, protection, food and other essential services. It is imperative for humanitarian actors to respond timely and increase the level of assistance targeted.

DPO and partners will continue the humanitarian assistance effort as more refugees are coming in every day.
